Ygritte and Jon Snow

Last days I worked really a lot, but all production is a mess on my painting table, many finished figures mixed with unfinished,  and everything very dificcult to see.. storage will be a nightmare as well..
However I can not help posting anything here.. I am back with Game of Thrones Again (but in the menawhile also a big "tolkien" show is coming, for next days :)) ...

We move to the far North beyond the Wall, and we find Jon Snow after leaving the Night  Watch(just temorarily) and meeting wildling redheaded beauty warrior Ygritte who will become much more than friend, enemy and lover alltogether.....

I converted a littel my original Jon Snow (Caesar advenutrer is nice but somerather small.. I have to increase his legs!.) and then I wondered which fig would suit the girl..
The elven archers from boardgame "War of The ring" look reasonably femenine and hair is familiar to Ygiritte in some scenes of the TV show...
Problems:
 they are very tall
 the have peaky ears
Their clothes are too elvish to look as savage-wild-kindofskimo hunter people..

Well, these kind of "problems" are my favourite hobby :)

Hope you like the converison results.. I added the original model figures as comparison, and a little scene of both chachracter surrounded by the army of the Dead (White Walkers have to wait.. just for some days or weeks---)

pS-The white wolf "Ghost" is also still missing, i painted one prototype but he was just a big dog.. i shpuld take a bigger wolf or warg from the selection I made for my glblin army , an the,, oh my god too many ideas and less time to do them all!"!!!!!..)

Ygrotte- left converted, roght original elf// Jon left converted, right original caesar figure

Some orcs more, and elven reinforcements

After two productive nights I completed some orcs more (mixture from gameboards "War of The Ring" and "Descent" with simple but effective figures pretty close to 1/72)
A bigger orc or troll is added to the party, as well as a wolf rider which is a nice figure...

They look just a little looting party or orc bandits...

This raiding party is reached by an small but strong and armoured elven Force! Caesar fig  really just for size comparison..

Here you can see my additions to the little elf team I am also making,,

Some heavy knights with two heavy horse-archers (mixture form severla gamepieces, includign again "Wra of The ring" and Arcane Legions",  and a 15mm conversion for the bareheaded prince Athanariel who was painted last year.. ) , and some foot knights recruited among Caesar adventurers and Strelets old set of vikings Vs franks...

For me honestly it is the shield designs what saves the group...

I realize I must improve much in painting horses.. some tip here around??

Middle Earth (i), and more...

Hi,
I was quite busy many nights, I am working in several topics at the same time, not really a progress but I feel quite happy indeed with my results anyway

I think many of you do know the boardgame "War of the Ring" It brings a lot of nice figs for the Tolkien universe, the scale  matches quite good the 1/72 (not so good with horsemen but OK)  and there you have troops and officers for all different factions (Rohan, Gondor, elves, dwarves, Nordor and Orthanc-Saruman....)  But best of all, there are a selecition of the main characters!!: fellowship of the Ring, Bad Guys...

https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/9609/war-ring-first-edition

There you can find some Uruk Hais htat Phil OTep asked about, (i took a pic fromn the same website)

I was working on the characters mainly, here the first look of figures (not yet finished), GAndalf the Grey, Frodo and Sam,

There "Strider", Gimli and legolas.

This Strider-Aragorn is not from the game  , as the included figure there ressembles more Aragorn as king of Gondor. This is the figure form Cesar adventurer set .. So you have a size comparison!

I am quite happy with them

The last pics show my converted Boromir and the other two Hobbits.. Also the original Boromir state, so yo can see how better he looks now with some relevant equipment changes :)

I started also some enemies for them..

Here a selection of diverse Uruk Hai including one form the commented game..
Standard bearer comes from Eureka 18mm. he is tiny, but he is not important, the HUGE WHITE HAND FLAG is :)  .

Many  uruk here are self-production with milliput, moulding form an Alliance master
Othe day i will sohow the making-off.. Do you find the original in the picture?

PS. As last gift, going back to Westeros, a preview of how Drogon grew up during las month,  he is able to carry Daenerys on him. Still to finish
