SAGA- Dark skirmishes in 28mm

Hi, let me show you again some non-1/72 work.

I painted during last year some small bamds to play famous Game SAGA against Friends, which results an easy and Funny Game to carry on. Almost any figure which "suits" can be used,  and basic rule set is....just easy.
Each Faction gets properly depicted through some Funny Battle boards which give each Faction its abilities, that must  gets activated thrd placing SAGA dice with speciaL icons which visially remind each faction: runes for Vikings/scandinave,   Draco/ridge elmets and Labarum for late romans/byzantine,  Axe-horse an suttom hoo mask forngermanic/goth/saxons..and so on
The SAGA abilities emhance movement attack or Defense abilities, and so on,  while combat and fire are resolved through normal 6D dice.

Each Army must accomplish a leader or Lord, and then around 4-6 units composed form basic "levies" (lighter, worse troops) "warriors"(common line troops) and "hearthguard"(élites)

Yo. have around 40-60 figs for the Bamd , and equipoed with the special SAGA dice and board, you can already go on against an Opppnent.

I ated several games already. There are plenty of space for narrativa games.

Last weekend we played a Saxon Barbáric raid on Román Limes
Romans defence was hard and barbarians were defeated (speacially because we used the Román Ballista in a wrong wayt and gave It more destructive power than allowed by rules!) Fun and good story gained. Tribune Alphonsvs kept Román around And Pride against Ragnar Teresbrok

  1. Well well, After reading your post, I'm now tempted to try SAGA myself! And I think that there is a Fantasy version, if I remember well... Very nice painting too :)
